Customer Identification Requirements
In compliance with Section 326 of the US Patriot Act, Tri-County Bank is obligated to gather, authenticate, and record specific identifying details from customers when opening an account. These obligations are designed to combat money laundering and international terrorism. Failure to provide us with the necessary information may hinder our ability to establish a banking relationship.
What this means for you
When initiating an account, you will be asked to provide your name, address, date of birth, and other particulars essential for identity verification. We may also require a valid photo ID, such as your driver’s license or other pertinent documents. In certain instances, we may seek identification from existing account holders if initial documentation was not obtained during the account’s inception. In all cases, safeguarding customer identity and confidentiality remains our steadfast commitment.
We fully support efforts to keep our customers and our country safe and secure.
